New Goodies at BT2 Dundrum

Not only our perennial fave Marc by Marc Jacobs line has been added to BT2 Dundrum but they have hoardes of new brands this Spring/Summer including the pretty, whimsical ‘tba’, the edgy, dark ‘Hotel Particulier’ and new denim brand Salsa!
And they’ve got a nail bar and brow bar to boot, so trekking up all the way to Dundrum is now definitely more worthwhile!

Ireland’s first ever ethical fashion week is in it’s second year and a host of sartorial events are planned from Crafternoon tea to National Swap Say on May 2nd.
With many people dropping the high street in favour of handmade, second hand and freshly swapped clothes, this might just be a more unique and informative way to shop. Our favourites: Vintage Fashion Fair happening today in Dun Laoghaire, Crafternoon tea – cakes, tea and making your own clothes! and screening of China Blue on Wed night.

This year the student designers had to use Nokia’s latest handset the Supernova as an inspiration for their designs. Result: highly conceptual shapes in PVC, tafetta, nylon, structured necklines, hemlines, and sleeves, lots of black, neon, navy…it’s always intersting to see how a an inanimate object like a phone can inspire sometimes fluid, moving, shining, pretty clothes. Thumbs up to all the students for a job well done.
