When we approached Mr McGrath earlier on in the day for his fabulous taste in men’s coats, little had we known at that time, that this creative, design student would be the winner of the overall prize for the Best Student Design at the Habitat and House&Home Awards for his innovative light fixture called the shuttle-cock light (left)

Kudos to David for this funkalicious and inspiring design that all of us wouldn’t mind hanging from our ceiling at home.

Had to run after David McGrath to grab him before he shot out the door. He had the coolest coat on…and bravo to him for sporting such a different style that would send many Irish guys a-running if not confused on how to wear it…and here this design student wears it with aplomb.
