Fashion Filosofy’s Fashion Week Favourites
DCU Fashion Show 2007, Nokia, UCD, celebrity, designer, street style 21 Comments »This week Fashion Filosofy attended some of Dublin’s most stylish events, cameras at the ready we snapped some great shots and these are some of our favourites.

There’s a very good reason the divine Miss Caroline Morahan won The Most Stylish of the Night at the Peter Marks VIP Style Awards and it was this gorgeous satin number. Created by home grown designer Kathy de Stafford, we love the intricate buttoned back and plunging neckline.

They say sex sells and sex definitely sells clothes! An expanse of bare skin and rippled abs showed off DCU’s student Fashion Show creations to great effect. Despite the irresistible models, we did manage to notice the clothes as well. Our attention was drawn to the very trendy way the show was styled, with hoodies worn as head pieces and tight fitting jeans with casual canvas trainers.

This fabulously feminine creation was our favourite aspect of the Nokia Young Fashion Designer Awards held at The Olympia. The work of Deirdre Brennan, who quite rightly won first place at the awards, is a collage of fabric and appliqué coming together to create a gown worthy of a princess. Check out the flowers and sequins which display an incredible attention to detail.

Grafton Design Academy students display some of this season’s hottest trends at the UCD student fashion show at The Point. Our favourite elements of these outfits are the hip, ankle length boots teamed with a sexy mini, the cute Mary Janes with a vintage flare and the uber trendy gold, metallic shift dress.
