NYFDA 09…On the Catwalk

This year the student designers had to use Nokia’s latest handset the Supernova as an inspiration for their designs. Result: highly conceptual shapes in PVC, tafetta, nylon, structured necklines, hemlines, and sleeves, lots of black, neon, navy…it’s always intersting to see how a an inanimate object like a phone can inspire sometimes fluid, moving, shining, pretty clothes. Thumbs up to all the students for a job well done.

great work. looks like such a cool event. lots of great designs there. And so much variety from a single theme, I would never have expected it.
