Fashionistas at the launch of Nightgeist, a new and free weekly listings guide for Dublin online. Nightgeist is unique in that it previews events that are not sold out and brings precise and targeted info about music, club, comedy, theatre, art and film events by highlighting 2-4 events per day. Here at FF, we are loving the hompage music. Very soothing. Check it out!

Irish Fashion Explosion on the Net

website No Comments »

untitled-21.jpg

Recently, I have been made aware of brand-spankin’ new Irish websites that are made to cater for an increasingly hungry Irish fashion market.

Sick and tired of clothing and accessory websites that don’ t ship to our fair isle?

Enter Irish Bargain Hunters It lists many international shops that stock quality goods with huge discounts and ship straight to us! No more UK diversions. The website is organised into categories and also lists beauty, accessories, health and fitness product sites.

Looking for something more designer? Look no further as Ireland’s first designer website Click-2-Couture is now up and running featuring luxe, luxe labels like Gucci, Prada, Miu Miu, Roberto Cavalli , Marc Jacobs with more to be added through the year. And not only that but these brands are available at discount prices too. Move aside Net-a-porter!

Big name designer not your thing? but your taste is more coveted small-name brands and local designers available at Irish boutiques? Irish Boutiques has a comprehensive listing of all old and new boutiques in Ireland from A to Z, and it even searches under the categories of accessories, shoes and hats, searches can also be made under different counties and more importantly under different brand names. So now you know what boutique stocks Joanne Hynes and where you can get your hands on 7 For All Mankind Jeans! Hurrah!

Yet another delightful addition to the boutique-scape of Dublin is new fashion haven Caru, which has just opened its doors on Drury Street.

FF was at the launch yesterday and we positively drooled over the eclectic mix of vintage and modern designs on offer from labels and brands such as Paul and Joe Sister, Suzie Wong, Hari, Bobi, Antik Batik and Raasta. Not only that, but Caru also stocks Lofli jeans and Hudson Jeans and a mind-boggling array of jewellery, belts and handbags from Mogul, Felix Rey and Rebecca Davis. And we’re absolutely loving the cool, minimalist NY-Loft/Basement type interiors complete with white bricked surrounds, wooden floors, chandeliers and a funky, flowered wall. Here’s to a new fashionable beginning!
