Retail Therapy
A-Wear fashion show, Summer, Topshop May 1st, 2007
This is an action packed week for retailers in Dublin. Between the launch of the highly anticipated Kate Moss Loves Topshop range for the British brand (above), seen in Topshop’s Jervis Street and St. Stephen’s Green stores, and the always fantastic A-Wear Summer Fashion show on Wednesday, we expect a flurry of excitement and some major spending taking place. These events, teamed with the beautiful weather means we’ll be seeing even more amazing summer style on our streets. Keep logging in guys, and thanks for all the support so far!

Hmm, just had a quick look at the Kate Moss range in Topshop on my lunchbreak. Some serious grabbing and pushing going on! Get a grip ladies! Really cute little waistcoats in the range but if you have had your finger on the fashion pulse at all you will have picked up on that trend long ago and hopefully already have one! Take that Kate! Love the blog, addicted!xx

LOL glad to hear that addiction part
Have to agree with you helen re:the range. Seeing as most of us are fashionistas, we’ve done the waistcoat/skinny jeans thing already (probably down to Moss’s influence ‘05). I was a bit disappointed at the lack of creativity in the range, thinking they might come up with something a bit more out there!
The sunglasses are gorgeous though. Ray Ban style with silver swallow detail. So cute! But again, kind of lacking in originality. I’d be interested to see if this was just a tester and the good stuff will be A/W. Fingers crossed!

i am waiting for the NY launch next…I won’t get anything for the sake of it being topshop, only if it really captures my interest..i think for us topshop/the kate moss deal is a little more exotic just because it’s in low supply here…funny how things work, right? but i’m certainly NOT looking forward to the mad crowds…and usually I don’t bother with this kind of thing…just the few things i have gotten at topshop in past trips to the UK I so love…so I’m making an exception…but I remember back in the day when H&M couldnt be got here…and we’d bring things back from Amsterdam…now you couldn’t pay me to go in there…ahh. oh and if you really do come to ny arsh
def do look me up! ciao, girls.

Actually Bergdorf Girl, H&M is new to us in Ireland! It’s not even 2 years here! I remember being in the US in ‘03 and you guys had it and we didn’t. I think we were the last!
I find the range in H&M differs slightly per country. The stuff in Dublin at the moment is nice, very paintbox, with a hint of that London Lily Allen/90s combination. However, I always found that the stock in Germany differed to that in the UK. I would assume that the merchandisers for the brand are very market-conscious, and are very selective, unlike other big name Euro-brands, like Zara for example.
As for Topshop, be aware that one of the big complaints was that much of the stock advertised in the central campaign hasn’t been released yet (for example, the beige striped waistcoat) - just in case you had something specific in mind!
Happy Hunting,
