Hot to Trot or Clippity Clop Outta Here!
celebrity, shoes, style March 23rd, 2007Balenciaga ankle boots, fashion fabulous or fashion victim? Some thought fashion had gone too far when the clunky, chunky Balenciaga heels began making their debut. With a hint of dominatrix about them, these funky chunkies could either elongate your legs, or make you look like a towering transvestite. On the delectable Mary Kate Olsen they gave the impression of a very tiny girl on stilts, sure to come a-tumbling down. For the supermodels, they gave those already long limbed beauties a further touch of Amazonianess. But how would you wear yours? With a teeny mini, a floaty chiffon dress or skinny jeans? The question is, how do you make these extremely un-delicate shoes look pretty, or should you just embrace ugly fashion and all it has to offer.

these are super kewl in mho, they are quite minnie mousie don’t you think. have seen mk and sis on and off on their shopping spree’s in bergdorf’s and barney’s not that you needed to know that.

i love, love, love these! tho not so practical when running around the city…now if i had a driver, imagine the shoes i could wear.
ps i LOVE olsen style, just did a post yest.
cute site.
You’re totally right, impractical shoes are the most fun. I drive to work leaving my underground garage and arrive at work, parking in their underground garage. My feet never touch the ground outside, leaving me free to wear suede ballet flats, high heeled boots and kitten heels. Imagine if i had to take the bus, unattractive footwear
Lucky you!! I wish I had that luxury. One question though: how do you drive in these! As much as I’d love to, I don’t think I could. Real luxury would be to have a driver. Then it’s 7inch vintage Vivienne Westwood all the way!
(I wonder are you insured if you cause an accident due to driving under the influence of platform…hmmm)
